PREP GIRLS' TENNIS: Chargers turn back Epiphany

Wayne Country Day seized command in doubles play and cruised past Epiphany, 7-2, on a sweltering Friday afternoon at Wayne Community College.
The Chargers' No. 1 duo of Langley Barnes-Cady Stanley and No. 2 tandem of Grace O'Daniel-Diya Shreenath each prevailed 8-1.
Barnes, Stanley, Shreenath and seventh-grader Annalise Boros each won in straight-set fashion in singles. Fifth-seeded O'Daniel won 9-7 in pro-set play.
Wayne Country Day (2-1 overall) plays host to Fayetteville Academy on Tuesday.
