KENLY -- The inaugural season of the Wayne County Regional Series teed off Thursday afternoon at Cardinal Country Club.
And Wayne Country Day enjoyed a historical outing.
The Chargers' Karsyn Roberts earned medalist honors with a 36 and helped her team post a meet-winning total of 114.
Kelly Lewis and Anna Reimers each posted a nine-hole round of 39. Ashton Gupton contributed a 44, while Caroline Bryant also participated.
North Johnston ended up second at 150, followed by Charles B. Aycock (177) and Southern Nash (181).
Adrian Floars led the Golden Falcons with a 55, while Savannah Strickland filed a 56. Taylor Smith contributed a 66.
Lexi Lewis, the lone representative from Rosewood, turned in a 57.
Princeton's two scorers were Sydney Norris (67) and Meghan Ortiz (69).
Rosewood head coach Shay Campbell said the regional has expanded to 15 teams, but not every team will play every match this season. He added that schools with conferences will participate in the regional when possible.
"We plan to have some great golf play and golfers this season," Campbell said.
