Little Falcons Football

July 31 -- Final registration for Charles B. Aycock Little Falcon football is from 6-8 p.m. at the CBA practice field. The registration fee is $75. Age groups are 8-Under, 10-U and 12-U. Boys & Girls Clubs

Registration is ongoing for tackle football at the Wayne-Johnston County Boys and Girls Clubs. The fee is $90 for members and $100 for non-members. The deadline to register is Aug. 15. Age groups are 8-Under, 10-U and 12-U. For more information, call Jeff Barnes at 919-735-2358.

C.B. Aycock Soccer

July 31 -- Tryouts for the varsity boys' team are at 6 p.m. All prospective players must have an up-to-date physical on file.

C.B. Aycock Cross Country

Aug. 8 -- Practice for the 2018 season begins at 8 a.m. at the CBA track. All athletes must have a current sports physical, a completed concussion form and signed parental permission form before they will be allowed to try out. For more information, call head coach Butch Bennett at 919-222-8549.

Mount Olive Hurricanes

Aug. 6 -- Registration begins at 6 p.m. with tryouts scheduled the same evening. Age groups are 8-Under, 10-U and 12-U. The practice facility is located at 620 S. Breazale Ave. All prospective players must provide a birth certificate. For more information, call Alex Ferrell at 919-658-2025.

Southern Wayne High School

Aug. 1-3 -- Tryouts for the varsity boys' soccer team run each day from 5:30-7:30 p.m. All interested players must provide an updated physical.

Aug. 6 -- Girls' golf practice begins at 5:30 p.m. at Southern Wayne Country Club. No experience is needed, but an updated physical is required to participate.

Aug. 6 -- Cross country practice begins at 9 a.m. behind the football field. All interested participants must provide an updated physical.
