BEAULAVILLE -- Junior Tziah Kelly scored 17 points and Aleesha Boyette finished with 16, but it wasn't enough to propel Goldsboro past East Duplin on Friday in the finals of the East Central 2A girls' basketball tournament.
East Duplin (22-2), paced by Mariah Moore's 24 points, iced matters by shooting 12 of 16 from the charity stripe over the final eight minutes.
Goldsboro now stands 12-12 overall this season.
