Girls' Basketball -- Eastern Wayne 50, C.B. Aycock 41

Junior guard Nyesha Best continued her solid play of late, scoring a game-high 16 points to lead Eastern Wayne by ECC 3A and county foe C.B. Aycock on Tuesday.
The victory moved Eastern Wayne to 14-5 overall this season, and 6-3 in league play.
Best was joined in double-figures by TaTiyana Ramsey, who finished with 12 points. Myesha Best also played well for the Lady Warriors, tallying nine points on the night.
C.B. Aycock was paced by senior Hannah Vinson, who scored 12 points, and sophomore forward Victoria Patnaude, who finished with nine points.
Eastern Wayne next sees the floor on Feb. 6, when it hosts J.H. Rose. C.B. Aycock, now 3-14 overall and 2-7 this season, will travel to face Southern Wayne on Friday.
