Conner Vernon scored 18 points to lead host Rosewood past former Carolina 1A league rival Spring Creek, 65-63, on Friday.
The overtime triumph moved the Eagles to 2-2 on the season.
University of Mount Olive baseball signee Kolby Harris also played well for Rosewood, finishing with 13 points. Marquel Vaughn added 10 points.
Demartae Bizzell scored 19 points for Spring Creek, which fell to 1-2 on the season. Dominique Morse added 11 points, while forward Cam Jones added 10 points.
Rosewood plays host to North Johnston on Monday.
