PRINCETON -- Goals by Eli Aguirre and Gustavo Velasquez propelled North Duplin by Carolina 1-A foe Princeton on Monday evening.
The Bulldogs scored twice in first 20 minutes of the match, but saw their lead evaporate after Aguirre squared matters with a one-timer in the 61st minute.
Velasquez sealed victory for the green-and-gold with a boot in the 77th minute.
"Princeton put us in a hole quick, three minutes into the game," North Duplin head coach James Foster said. "Henry Silva kept us in the game defensively with strong clearing kicks."
Juan Bautista and sophomore Blake Tinker scored for PHS, who fell to 3-11 overall this season.
The triumph moved North Duplin to 10-6-1 overall this season, and 8-6 in league play.
It next faces Hobbton today.
