VOLLEYBALL --Charles B. Aycock suffers loss at Union Pines

CAMERON -- Despite a valiant effort from its decorated senior class, the Lady Blues of Charles B. Aycock fell in four sets to Union Pines on Tuesday in second-round play of the N.C. High School Athletic Association Volleyball Championship.
Arlanda Faulkner led the CBA effort with 25 kills.
Union Pines stormed to a 2-0 lead in the match, taking the first two sets in 25-18 and 25-21 fashion, only to see CBA rally to win the third by a 25-20 count.
The Vikings, however, claimed the match with a 25-23 victory in the fourth set to establish a date with ECC powerhouse D.H. Conley on Thursday.
