Southern Wayne's men's cross country runners placed fourth out of six teams in Wednesday's meet, competing in a field of 92 male runners.
The girls cross country runners were not eligible for scoring, as they had only four runners.
Josh Raynor was eighth overall with a time of 19:10, and Ezekiel Harris placed 15th with a time of 20:01. Ryan Norton and Robert Castillo finished in the top 30.
The Saints will travel next week to Greenville to compete in the ECC championship meet.
The top seven men and all five ladies will go to the regional competition in Rocky Mount on October 28.
