Mount Olive 37, Spring Creek 14

Mount Olive posted a lopsided victory over Spring Creek on Wednesday, paced by Donavan Armwood and Trayvon Usher, who scored two touchdowns apiece.

Defensively, the Hurricanes were led by Antonio Jackson's five tackles. Usher and Zykerion Hinton also recorded four tackles on the afternoon.

Mount Olive (3-0) next faces Goldsboro on Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m.

Mount Olive 39, North Duplin 7

Zyquan Stevens, Deondre Wadsworth, Kairell Evans and Jeremiah Faison each scored a touchdown in the Hurricanes' lopsided triumph over North Duplin.

Elio Ponce, Hasani Coleson, Malachi Murphy and Jacob Graham all starred along the offensive line.

Stevens and Levi Evans recorded five tackles each, and Jalen Carr recovered a fumble.

Now 3-0 on the season, Mount Olive next faces Goldsboro on Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Boys & Girls Club 47, Grantham 13

Jymire Dewitt rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown from scrimmage, then managed a 60-yard kickoff return for a score in Tuesday's runaway victory over Grantham.

Trasond McNeil also returned a kickoff 65 yards for a touchdown, while Trevion Cobb added 35 yards on the ground, a touchdown and a pair of 2-point conversions.

Defensively, the Boys and Girls Club was paced by Ty Williams, who recorded four tackles and recovered a fumble. Koraun Humphrey also made four tackles.

Jaelin Langley posted a four-tackle effort as well. The Boys and Girls Club is now 2-0 on the season, and next plays Mount Olive on Oct. 10.

Charles B. Aycock 27, Rosewood 0

Jayden Dunn and Zymere McClarin each scored two touchdowns in Charles B. Aycock's four-touchdown victory over Rosewood on Tuesday.

Andrew Matthews passed for 30 yards and connected on a 2-point conversion.

Defensively, CBA was paced by Braxton Morton and Deandre Davis, who recorded six tackles apiece. McClarin finished the game with five tackles.

Davis also recovered a Rosewood fumble.

The victory pushed Aycock to 2-0 this season. Its next matchup is with the Boys and Girls Club on Oct. 17.

Kickoff is 8 p.m.

Mount Olive 47, North Duplin 14

Donavan Armwood and Dorian Toussaint each scored two touchdowns as Mount Olive rolled past North Duplin on Sunday.

Trayvon Usher, Jishon Croom and Ethan Nelson also struck paydirt for Mount Olive.

Antonio Jackson anchored the defensive side of things with six tackles and a forced fumble, while Charleston Skinner made four tackles.

Brandon Galighue also recovered a fumble for Mount Olive, who moved to 2-0 on the season.

Mount Olive 40, North Duplin 7

Zyquan Stevens posted three touchdowns and was joined in the end zone by Deondre Wadsworth, Ethan Keith and Jeremiah Faison.

Stevens also starred defensively, posting five tackles. Faison complemented his effort with four of his own.

Mount Olive is now 2-0 on the season.
