GREENVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock emerged victorious on two doubles courts and handed J.H. Rose a 5-4 loss in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play.

The Golden Falcons' No. 2 tandem of Karlyn Ray-Lexi Reeves escaped the Rampants' Ginger Evans-Ella Jones 8-5. Teammates Abbie Shackleford-Sophia Gumbish rolled past Rose's Jayme Goldman-Emma Blake, 8-2, at the No. 3 flight.

Lexi Reeves, Hannah Tyndall and Michaela Boyd -- the bottom three in CBA's lineup -- each posted a straight-set singles win.

The Golden Falcons entertain D.H. Conley on Tuesday.
