PREP FOOTBALL: Archer, Sheppard pace ND's offense

CALYPSO -- Senior quarterback Will Archer and Kenny Sheppard combined for nearly 300 yards of total offense during North Duplin's 26-12 conquest of Pinetown Northside at H.E. Grubbs Field.
Archer amassed 186 yards -- including touchdown runs of 8 and 24 yards -- on 20 carries. Sheppard finished with 100 yards and 12 carries, and broke free for scoring marks of 13 and 15 yards.
Colby Bass added 50 yards on 13 carries.
The Rebels piled up 339 yards rushing.
North Duplin (2-0 overall) entertains South Lenoir next Friday.
