• Volleyball: Faith Christian d. Greenville Christian 25-19, 24-26, 15-11 -- The Conquerors improved to 2-0 overall this season. "They're playing well together ... doing a great job," said FCA head coach Jamie Conlon, whose team plays host to Wilmington Christian on Tuesday.
• Boys' soccer: Wayne Country Day 4, New Life Christian 1 -- Max Young and Preston Barnes tallied two goals apiece during the Chargers' non-conference win Friday. Barnes, Michael Geer and Thad Moye each filed an assist. "The boys link up ... play again was dominant throughout the middle," WCDS head coach Aaron Seate said. "And we made sure to capitalize on our opportunities." The Chargers improved to 6-1-0 this season.
