PIKEVILLE -- Senior striker Sean Doulin punched in a pair of second-half goals during Charles B. Aycock's season-opening, 5-1 conquest of county rival Spring Creek on a soggy Thursday evening.
Ivan Delgado, one of five seniors on the squad, notched the Golden Falcons' first goal of the year in the opening half. Freshman midfielder Zach Naughton supplied a second-half goal.
Penalty-kick specialist David McIver scored in the second half.
The Golden Falcons, who advanced to the second round in postseason play a year ago, travel to Clayton next Tuesday. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m.
