Wayne Country Day 2, Ridgecroft 0
Wayne Country Day rebounded from a 2-1 loss to Cape Fear Academy earlier this week to post a 2-nil triumph over Ridgecroft on Friday.
The Chargers were led by Hunter Bryson and Luis Lopez, who each scored a goal. Marquise Newell notched an assist.
"We dominated from start to finish and should have won by more," noted Country Day head coach Steve Ellis. "We created chance after chance to put the ball in the net but didn't take them... A step up from yesterday as it didn't cost us tonight. We will look to keep that trend going tomorrow morning against Parrott."
The school's match versus APA was canceled due to adverse weather conditions.
