Hunter Bryson converted a second-half penalty kick as Wayne Country Day fell to 2-1 to Cape Fear Academy in opening-round play of the 2017 Charger Cup.
"Great competition to start our season off against a tough opponent," Chargers head coach Steve Ellis said. "We really should have won the game with the chances we created and the great saves by the Cape Fear keeper. We look to get a better result tomorrow against Ridgecroft."
