BASEBALL: WCS mery rules Greenfield

Wayne Christian used a nine-run third inning to bully its way to a 15-1 mercy-rule victory over Greenfield in Tuesday's Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference semifinal matchup.
The Eagles also scored five runs in the first inning and one run in the second. Addison Johnson went 4-for-4 with three RBI. Ted Suggs and Holden Foster both went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Will White went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Tyler Kornegay also registered one hit.
Foster and T. Suggs combined to allow one hit, allow two walks and strike out eight batters in five innings.
WCS (10-3) will play Wayne Country Day in the CPIC tournament title game on Thursday.
