PREP BASEBALL: Jones' early offense propels Princeton

PRINCETON -- Anthony Jones plated two first-inning runs with a single and Princeton slipped past Hobbton, 3-1, in a Carolina 1-A Conference battle Wednesday evening.
Blake Sapp doubled. Teammates Alex Hickman, Ryan Woodard and Jones provided one hit apiece.
Colby Sullivan claimed the mound win. The righty retired seven Wildcats on strikeouts and permitted two hits in a six-inning stint. Tanner Flowers earned the save with one inning of two-strikeout relief.
