PREP BASEBALL: Eagles dealt first league loss of season

CALYPSO -- North Duplin pushed across two sixth-inning runs and stunned No. 2-ranked Rosewood, 2-1, in a Carolina 1-A Conference affair Wednesday evening.
Tanner Bradley surrendered one hit, one walk and two strikeouts in six innings of work for the Eagles. David Price logged the lone hit for the Rebels.
North Duplin's Dylan Jones claimed the mound win -- a seven-inning, four-hit effort that included three strikeouts.
Bradley, Kolby Harris, Boone Moody (RBI) and Will Albert collected one hit apiece for RHS.
Rosewood (15-3 overall, 9-1 CC) returns home today to face Spring Creek. North Duplin (7-7, 6-4) is the guest of Princeton today.
