DUDLEY -- Rebecca Coor delivered a three-hit, five-RBI performance as Southern Wayne cranked out a 13-3, mercy-rule win over Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe J.H. Rose on Thursday.
Kayla Raynor concluded the day 3-for-3. Mackenzie Bryan, Iyahna Bess and Caroline Summerlin (two RBI) each supplied two hits.
Bryan logged 12 strikeouts inside the pitcher's circle.
"Defensively, we were much improved compared to the last two games with only two errors," SW head coach Jamie Williams said. "But we also didn't have to play much defense due to Bryan shutting them down."
The Saints (5-8 overall, 3-3 ECC) will take a few days off for Spring break.
