DEEP RUN -- Dawn Anderson threw a four-hitter in the circle, but Southern Wayne couldn't overcome defensive mistakes in an 8-4, non-conference loss to South Lenoir on Wednesday evening.
The Saints surrendered six unearned runs on seven errors.
SW's Caroline Summerlin provided an RBI double in the top of the third inning. Mackenzie Bryan delivered a two-RBI double in the sixth, and Bryan raced home on Anderson's base knock.
The Saints (4-8 overall) entertain J.H. Rose today. After a lengthy Spring break, they'll complete a suspended game against New Bern and play a second game on April 24.
