SOFTBALL: North Duplin rallies past East Duplin

TEACHEY -- North Duplin secured the Duplin County Easter Invitational championship with a 2-1 victory over East Duplin on the Wallace-Rose Hill diamond Wednesday.
The Rebels trailed 1-0 through four innings before tying the game at 1-1 in the fifth, and plating the winning run in the seventh.
Natalie Ramirez (RBI), Haley Brogden and Hannah Brogden each had two hits for North Duplin. Teammate Rayanna Koch batted 1-for-4.
Haley Brogden permitted three hits, two walks and struck out 13 batters in a complete-game performance inside the circle.
North Duplin (10-1 overall) entertains Rosewood on April 25.
