BASEBALL: WCDS cruises past TEACH

Wayne Country Day's pitching staff logged 11 strikeouts during a 12-0, five-inning conquest of TEACH Homeschool on Friday afternoon.
John Strickland started on the cliff. He gave up one hit and had four strikeouts in two innings. Amane Godo hurled two innings of one-hit, six-strikeout relief. Ryan Smith threw the fifth.
Case Kermode doubled twice, drove in a run and collected three hits for the Chargers. Avery Browning, Mitch Turnage (RBI), Strickland (RBI) and Godo (three RBI) each had two hits.
WCDS got one hit each from Zach Barfield, Jon Bryan (RBI), Jack Talton (RBI), Carnes Edmondson (RBI), Tanner Willman (RBI) and Ryan Hopes (RBI).
The Chargers (8-3 overall) are the guests of Rosewood on Monday.
