BASEBALL: Gators' Dupuy hurls complete game

Spring Creek broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the fifth inning and slipped past Lakewood, 6-4, in a Carolina 1-A Conference contest Tuesday evening.
The Gators added an insurance run in the sixth.
Levi Miller, Christian Yarbrough (RBI), Kaden Geelen (RBI), Jake Edens and Kevin Grady each provided one hit for SC. Casey Whitfield drove in two runs, while Austin Reynolds contributed an RBI.
The teams combined to hit 4-for-22 with runners in scoring position and stranded a total of 15 men -- 10 by Lakewood.
Matt Dupuy threw a complete game for the Gators. He allowed four runs (three earned) on 10 hits and logged one strikeout during his 96-pitch outing.
