BASEBALL: Lawrence Academy nips WCDS

Lawrence Academy erupted for four sixth-inning runs and turned back Wayne Country Day, 8-7, on Thursday afternoon.
Case Kermode (three RBI), Mitch Turnage and Avery Browning (RBI) each had two hits for the Chargers.
Amane Godo, Zach Barfield (RBI) and Tanner Willman (RBI) each supplied one hit.
John Strickland earned a no-decision during his five-inning, seven-strikeout stint on the mound. Turnage took the loss in relief. Godo logged two strikeouts in two innings of work.
Weather permitting, Wayne Country Day (6-3 overall) entertains Wayne Christian today.
