BASEBALL: Wayne Christian defeats PJPII (Canada) by mercy rule

Wayne Christian tallied 13 runs in the first two innings combined and defeated Pope John Paul II Catholic of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in mercy-rule fashion, 16-1.
Holden Foster hurled a one-hitter and retired nine PJP batters on strikeouts.
Ted Suggs belted a home run during his 2-for-2, five-RBI outing. Addison Johnson supplied a team-high three hits. Foster (two RBI) and Jaxon Bauer (RBI) provided two hits apiece.
Will White (two RBI) and Tyler Kornegay (three RBI) each contributed one hit.
