BOYS' TENNIS: Parrott Academy defeats Wayne Country Day

Wayne Country Day opened its 2017 season with a 7-2, non-conference loss to perennial 2-A independent powerhouse Parrott Academy on Thursday afternoon.
Sam Dively claimed the Chargers' lone singles point -- a 6-0, 6-1 win over the Patriots' Thomas Peacock. Dively and teammate Alec Fritzinger defeated Peacock-Cameron Pope 8-6 at the No. 1 doubles flight.
The Chargers (0-1 overall) entertain Grace Christian-Sanford today. First serve is 3:30 p.m. at Wayne Community College.
