BASEBALL: James Kenan upends Princeton

PRINCETON -- James Kenan plated the game-winning run in the top half of the seventh inning and knocked off Princeton, 3-2, in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams Thursday.
Princeton tied the game at 2-all when Luke Braswell drew a bases-loaded walk. Braswell drove in the Bulldogs' first run of the game in the fourth.
Blake Sapp and Alex Hickman each had a hit for PHS.
Tanner Flowers threw a complete-game six-hitter on the bump. He allowed three runs (two earned) and struck out 10 Kenan hitters.
Ken Avent III collected two hits for the Tigers.
