SOFTBALL: North Duplin stops South Lenoir

DEEP RUN -- Haley Brogden fired a complete-game four-hitter as North Duplin knocked off South Lenoir, 3-1.
Brogden retired 11 Blue Devils on strikeouts inside the circle. At the plate, the senior batted 2-for-3 with a double.
Natalie Ramirez (two runs scored), Alyssa Santos (RBI) and Maddie Swinson provided one hit apiece.
The Rebels (1-0 overall) entertain Lejeune next Tuesday. First pitch is 6 p.m.
