Rivalry Week
It's here.
That time on the hoops calendar when friendships and loyal fan bases get up close and personal for the final time in the regular season.
And if results to date are any indication, the balance of this week promises to be an unforgettable collection of nail-biting finishes.
Here is an overview of the varsity week ahead:
Thursday
North Duplin at Spring Creek
Cue the mayhem.
The varsity boys' game in Calypso just over two weeks ago was a baseline-to-baseline thrill-ride, with the Gators escaping 68-64 courtesy of solid free-throw shooting down the stretch.
Cancel anything on your calendar and make the trek to Seven Springs for round two of this Carolina 1-A clash -- you won't be sorry.
Princeton at Rosewood
Separated by just seven miles, these two are more than familiar with each other.
And with both varsity outfits vying for a playoff spot, expect the action to be intense and emotions high along both benches.
Stay tuned.
Eastern Wayne at CBA
There's nothing like a good ol' fashioned battle of the varsity blues to properly get ready for Duke and Carolina, which tips at 8 p.m.
Just attend this one first.
