WRESTLING: Rosewood continues defense of 1A state dual-team title

Rosewood launched defense of its N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A dual-team state title with a 68-6 thrashing of Bishop McGuinness on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles won 13 of 14 individual matches.
Tim Decatur started the night with a 17-9 major decision over Jared Russell at 120 pounds. Reid Amodeo (126) squeezed out a 2-1 win over BM's Matt Muller. Louis Tortual followed with a pin at 132 pounds, and the Eagles rolled from there.
Jordan Todd, Jayden Thomas, Seth Finney, Joey Behrend, Isaiah Kornegay, Cameron Helt, Hunter Weeks, heavyweight Nyterrius Williams, Christian Decatur and Chris Hill each had their hand raised in triumph.
Rosewood (40-3 overall) returns to action Thursday.
