WRESTLING: Saints experience bizarre outing against South Central

HOLLYWOOD CROSSROADS -- Southern Wayne earned its second Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference victory of the season in bizarre fashion against South Central.
Nine forfeits accounted for all of the Saints' points during their 54-12 victory over the Falcons. SW victors were Lester Velasquez, Raekwon Hardy, Lucas Davis, David Gomez, Devante Jackson, Matthew Phelps, Willie Leonard, Kimari Johnson and Jefferson Whitfield.
Johnson leads the Saints with 20 wins, followed by Jackson with 17.
The Falcons' Cameron Wooden recorded a second-period fall at 182 pounds and teammate Seth VanDervoort drew a forfeit at heavyweight.
The teams combined for three double forfeits.
