GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Lakewood cruises past North Duplin

SALEMBURG -- Destiny George recorded seven points during North Duplin's 43-21 loss to Carolina 1-A Conference rival Lakewood on Thursday evening.

Alyssa Santos and Mary Taylor Jones posted four points apeice. Kenzie Taylor added two points.

North Duplin (0-4 overall) returns to action Dec. 29 in the annual Duplin County Christmas Tournament.
