WRESTLING: Mario Harper leads EW at Green Hope Grapple

CARY -- Eastern Wayne senior Mario Harper pinned all three of his opponents in the first period and captured the 106-pound championship during the Green Hope Grapple.
Harper spent a total of 2 minutes, 57 seconds on the mat.
Jaleek Lewis and Joseph Scofield placed third at 145 and 195 pounds, respectively. Emmanuel Harper (113 pounds) and Mekhi Levins-Williams (120) each took fourth.
Heavyweight Quiontay Foust was fifth.
The Warriors also got solid performances from Christian Torres (132), Billy Bryant (138), Victor Skinner (152), Lesley Mallard (160) and Anthony Ackee (170). Mallard stepped onto the mat for the first time this season.
Eastern Wayne placed seventh in the team portion with 72 points.
Green Hope won the team crown wth 193 points, followed by Fayetteville Cape Fear (146.5) and Cary Academy (108.5).
