WRESTLING: Eagles have 7 placers at Pierce-Davis

BETHEL -- Tim Decatur seized the 113-pound individual title and Rosewood had seven placers overall during the day-long Pierce-Davis Memorial wrestled at North Pitt HS.
Decatur remained unbeaten in 17 outings this season.
Reid Amodeo (126 pounds), Jordan Todd (132) and Jayden Thomas (145) each finished runner-up in their respective weight classes. Seth Finney captured third at 152 pounds, while freshman Christian Decatur shared third place at 106 pounds.
Louis Tortual ended up fourth at 138 pounds.
Chris Hill, Joey Behrend, Isaiah Kornegay, Hunter Weeks, Noah Carden and heavyweight Nyterrius Williams also competed for the Eagles.
Washington edged Rosewood 172-159 for the team crown.
Princeton's Kyle Balageo took fourth at 152 pounds after dropping a 6-2 decision to Finney in the third-place match. It was a rematch of their quarterfinal meeting, also won by Finney.
The Bulldogs' Hunter Reliford (113), Gage Holmes (120), Luke Brush (126), Ben Bayles (132), Montrez Levi (138) and heavyweight Zach Hill also battled on the day.
PHS tallied 34 points.
