HOLLYWOOD CROSSROADS -- Jack Casbarro reeled in two touchdown receptions and finished with a career-high 128 yards receiving during Southern Wayne's season-ending, 70-37 loss to Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe D.H. Conley.

Casbarro caught a 78-yard TD strike from quarterback Quentin Carlton in the opening quarter. The two hooked up again on a 39-yard scoring play in the final period.

Carlton ended the night 7 of 12 for 199 yards and three TDs.

Manny Walker torched the Vikings' defense for 204 yards and three touchdowns on just 20 carries. His TD runs covered 58, 25 and 27 runs. He also grabbed a 55-yard TD pass from Carlton in the first period.

Walker completed one pass for 14 yards.

Southern Wayne piled up 490 yards of total offense.

"We feel like our guys came out and played hard -- and with confidence," SW head coach Ronnie McClary Jr. said. "We talked about finishing the season up strong and even though we didn't get the win, we still feel like we have something to look forward to going into next season."

"We'll miss all our seniors because they've all had an impact on the program, but we are excited about the future of the program."

The Saints finished in a three-way tie with county rivals Eastern Wayne and Charles B. Aycock for the lone playoff berth in the 3-A portion of the conference. CBA had to forfeit its win over the Saints (2-8 overall, 1-5 ECC) for using an ineligible player.

EW earned the playoff spot due to best overall record.
