VOLLEYBALL: Gators top Rebels in 4 sets

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek turned back North Duplin 25-13, 25-13, 21-25, 25-19 in Carolina 1-A Conference action at "The Swamp" on Wednesday evening.
Ivet Carreno turned in a 26-assist, six-ace performance for the Gators. McKinley Edmondson delivered a team-high 12 kills and picked up seven digs on defense.
Shae Odom had 10 digs.
Maddie Swinson and Taylor Walker logged four kills apiece for the Rebels. Cassy King and Brooke Cottle served four and three aces, respectively. Abbey Pate emerged as ND's defensive leader with 10 digs.
Walker posted six blocks, while Kenzie Taylor had three.
Anna Thornton passed out eight assists.
