BOYS' SOCCER: Eagles score road shutout

SMITHFIELD -- Rosewood's offense came alive in the second half of a 6-0 victory over Carolina 1-A Conference foe Neuse Charter on Thursday afternoon.
The teams battled to a scoreless draw after 40 minutes.
Jayden Thomas logged the eventual game-winning goal off an assist from Stalen Massengill. Massengill recorded his 13th goal off an assist by Collin Pendegraph.
Noah Banks punched in two goals. Geo Abrill added one goal.
Collin Carter recorded an assist.
The Eagles (6-7-0 overall, 2-5-0 CC) continue play next Wednesday at James Kenan.
