VOLLEYBALL: C.B. Aycock sweeps South Central

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock claimed its first-ever victory over South Central 25-20, 25-21, 25-16 on the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference scene Tuesday afternoon.
Arlanda Faulker pounded out 15 kills for the Golden Falcons. Cyerra Carter had five kills. Tanika Powell and Hannah Carter each had three kills. Powell and Hunter Tillman combined serve four of CBA's eight aces as a team.
Carter posted a team-high seven blocks.
Defensive specialist Cassandra Lassiter led four CBA players in digs with 25. Faulkner logged 16 digs, followed by Powell with 12 and Carter with 10.
Carter posted 25 assists, raising her season total to 375.
