GIRLS' TENNIS: Chargers secure overall outcome in doubles

Wayne Country Day collected victories at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, and handed Rocky Mount Academy a 5-4 loss on the Wayne Community College courts Tuesday afternoon.
The Chargers' No. 2 duo of Langley Barnes-Nancy Chen dealt RMA's pair of Ann Summer Thorp-Susanna Mosley an 8-2 loss. Teammates Aimee Barnes-Hannah Fesler won at No. 3 doubles by the same score.
Chen, Aimee Barnes and Eliza Eagles each claimed a singles point for the Chargers.
WCDS (7-1 overall) return to action Friday with a non-conference match against University Christian at Barton College.
