GREENVILLE -- Noah Adkins knocked in five goals, including a penalty kick, and dished out an assist during Wayne Country Day's 9-0, mercy-rule conquest of Coastal Plains Independent 1-A rival Pope John Paul on Tuesday afternoon.
Luis Lopez, Marquise Newell, Ben Cohen and Hunter Bryson tallied one goal apiece in the Chargers' road win. Lopez, Newell, Cohen and Nehemiya Shaw each tallied one assist.
"The lads played really well from the start," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We moved the ball quick and caught them out of position doing so."
