VOLLEYBALL: Golden Falcons sweep Beddingfield

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock remained unbeaten in four outings this season with a 25-9, 25-13, 25-13 non-conference conquest of Beddingfield on Monday afternoon.
Arlanda Faulkner cranked out a match-high 17 kills for the Golden Falcons. Teammates Cyerra Carter and Mookie Powell contributed five and four kills, respectively.
Cassanda Lassiter served four of the team's 15 aces. Hannah Carter distributed 26 assists during the three-set sweep and had three aces. Jamilla Jackson served three aces.
Senior Taliyah Green had four block assists, while Lassiter led Aycock's defensive charge with 16 digs. Faulker recorded 15 digs. Jackson and Powell added 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
CBA had 60 digs as a team.
The Golden Falcons are the guests of Goldsboro on Thursday.
