BOYS' SOCCER: Spring Creek dumps North Lenoir

Juan Hurtado Gomez notched a hat trick (three goals) and assisted on two other goals during Spring Creek's 7-1, non-conference romp over North Lenoir on Monday.
Gustavo Avalos supplied two goals and two assists for the Gators, who improved to 3-0-0 overall this season. Milton Bautista contributed one goal and one assist. Flavio Mejia scored on a header off an assist from Juan Hurtado Gomez.
Josh Beckerman and Hugo Zavala each had one assist.
Spring Creek entertains county rival Southern Wayne on Thursday. Kickoff is 5 p.m. at "The Swamp."
