TENNIS: Reeves, Shackleford prevail in CBA's road loss

Fifth-seeded Lexi Reeves earned C.B. Aycock's lone singles point in a season-opening, 7-2 loss to perennial Big East 3-A power Wilson Fike on Monday afternoon.
A junior, Reeves defeated the Golden Demons' Avery Rose Brown 6-2, 6-4. Reeves and doubles mate Abby Shackleford, a freshman, triumphed at the No. 3 flight -- 8-4 over Fike's tandem of Brown-Anna Blair Thomas.
