Braswell nearly perfect inside pitcher's circle for Bulldogs

PRINCETON -- Beth Braswell batted 4-for-4 and sophomore Megan Bryant mashed a home run during Princeton's 18-0, mercy-rule thrashing of Northampton County on day one of the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A playoffs Tuesday afternoon.
Braswell plated three runs and scored three runs for the Bulldogs. Brianna Myers batted 3-for-4. Kelsey Peedin (four RBI) and Megan Bryant (two RBI) each contributed two hits.
Braswell threw a no-hitter and retired 11 Northampton hitters on strikeouts. The right-hander faced one batter over the minimum for a perfect game.
