* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 1, D.H. Conley 0 -- Tyler Daniels fouled off three consecutive pitches before connecting on the game-winning, walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday afternoon. Daniels plated Nick Aycock who drew a lead-off walk. Cody Whaley hurled a complete-game five-hitter and sat down six DHC batters on strikeouts. Daniels (RBI), Luke Frederick, Carson Smitherman and Kaleb Moore each had one hit for the Golden Falcons. C.B. Aycock (17-0 overall) travels to South Central today.
Middle schools
* Girls' soccer: Norwayne 6, Spring Creek 1 -- Six different players -- Kayla Spier, Emma Maurer, Colleen Jones, Lydia Butler, Brylee Sauls and Brianna Casey -- scored one goal apiece during the Cobras' win. Jones, Tanner Griffin, Morgan Quinn, Sauls and Casey each had one assist. Goalkeeper Taylor Smith recorded two saves. Norwayne (12-0-0 overall) concludes regular-season play at home today against Eastern Wayne.
