Carolina 1A champ Spring Creek blanks Lakewood

SALEMBURG -- Kane Geelen delivered three hits as reigning Carolina 1-A Conference champion Spring Creek blanked Lakewood, 12-0, on Thursday evening.
Hunter Walker, Will Rouse (RBI), Sawyer Smith (two RBI) and Matt Dupuy supplied two hits apiece. Kaden Geelen (RBI) and Landon Smothers (RBI) each had one hit.
Smith threw 62/3 innings of 11-strikeout ball and yielded one walk. Walker recorded the game's final out, which preserved the Gators' unbeaten status (8-0) in conference play this season.
Spring Creek exited 11-5 overall.
