Flowers, Wise lead CBA golfers in two meets

Charles B. Aycock's Jake Flowers emerged as the medalist with an 18-hole round of 75 during six-team meet contested on the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course links Tuesday afternoon.
Nick Wise posted a 77. Teammates Blake Bartlett (79) and Bryce Jones (81) completed the Golden Falcons' four-player total of a season-low 312. Ty Daniels and Mitchell Langston also participated.
Rosewood took second at 329. Eastern Wayne posted a 354, followed by Wayne Country Day (355) and Goldsboro (392). Princeton did not field enough players to record a team score.
Individual scores were not submitted by the other schools.
Wise earned medalist honors with a 76 during a three-team meet contested at Southern Wayne Country Club on Monday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons recorded a four-player score of 322 that included solid rounds from Ty Daniels (81), Mitchell Langston (82) and Bryce Jones (83). Teammate Blake Barlett shot an 84.
Eastern Wayne shot a 336.
Individual scores for EW and Southern Wayne were not submitted to the News-Argus.
