Norfolk (Va.) Christian doubles up Wayne Country Day

GREENVILLE -- Norfolk Christian's defense held Wayne Country Day scoreless for five innings during a 4-2, non-conference victory at The Oakwood School on Saturday afternoon.
The Chargers scored a single run in each of the sixth and seventh innings. Drew Barnes logged two hits. Mitch Turnage doubled and knocked in a run. Case Kermode and Parker Smith each had one hit.
Amane Godo started on the mound and surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. He struck out four Norfolk batters during his four-inning stint.
Jacob Magera tossed two innings of three-hit relief.
Wayne Country Day (4-2-1 overall) visits Lee Christian on Monday.
