J.H. Rose trips up CBA in doubles play

J.H. Rose prevailed at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, and knocked off C.B. Aycock 5-4 during their Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference match Thursday afternoon.
The Rampants pulled out critical tie-breakers at No. 2 and No. 5 singles to force a 3-3 tie heading into doubles play.
The Golden Falcons received singles points from sophomore Sam Andrews, freshman Nolan Casey and sophomore Austin Doyle. Andrews-Doyle triumphed at No. 2 doubles.
Aycock returns to action next Tuesday at unbeaten Eastern Wayne.
